Intruders Enter the Big Brother House

As is customary with all it's twists and turns, Big Brother has sent 3 intruders into the Big Brother house.

Cherry - a young bloke with an interesting name managed to turn heads and provoke Brigitte into one of her rather strange facial expressions.

Rhianna - young, beautiful and having never had a real long-term relationship with a guy. Noticed she and Rory are getting quite comfortable. Nice little snuggle in bed last night.

Terence - puuhh-leease. Another representative of the "older" generation. I'm all for a mix of age ranges in the Big Brother house but REALLY???? This guy is just a disgrace!!! He might qualify as "older" but he certainly doesn't qualify as "mature" in my opinion. Sure, he'll stir things up. But at the same time, I think he does a disservice to the reputation of others in his age bracket. Particularly when it comes to parading his own body around. I feel sorry for his kids having to watch this (and having their friends watch it) on national television!!! Way to screw up your kids mate!!!

So, they're causing quite a stir. Some like them. Some hate them. Time will tell as to how long they'll survive in the Big Brother house.

Big Mouth May Save Big Brother

I haven't always been a big fan of Big Brother. We started to watch it a little last year when our son was asking to watch it. I wasn't prepared to let him watch something without seeing it for ourselves first.

There has been lots of speculation leading up to this series of Big Brother as to whether or not the death knoll has rung. Changes to the shows host as well as a few other changes have been implemented.

Last night I was watching the Big Mouth panel discussing Big Brother. I honestly think that if anything can save the show, it will be Big Mouth. The discussion and clips being shown were absolutely hilarious.

If you don't enjoy watching Big Brother every night, I can highly recommend Big Mouth as a highly entertaining overview of the week's happenings in the Big Brother house.

Saxon gone and Brigette in Tears on Big Brother

Big Brother Australia 2007Image via WikipediaPoor Brigette is BEGGING Big Brother to let her go home. I wonder what the guidelines are in a case like this? Is it unlawful imprisonment if Big Brother refuses to let Brigette out of the house on her request. It seems the loss of her belongings was the last straw for Brigette.

The housemates don't seem very sympathetic to her plight, labelling her as "materialistic" and "spoilt". Perhaps it's more a case of this being the "last straw". I know what it's like when you're tired and overwhelmed. The tears just won't stop no matter how hard you try.

I must admit that Big Brother did at least sound sympathetic in his tone. But so far he hasn't consented to her leaving the house.

On Big Mouth last night (the small amount that I got to see before I fell asleep), Saxon seemed quite comfortable with his eviction, citing the fact that he "just knew" it would be him.

Plus 4 housemates have spent the night in a "plane" and are now living it up in a "Bali style" holiday right next door to the Big Brother house.

I wonder what Big Brother has in store for them???

Housemate Re-enters The Big Brother House

Nanna Terri is now officially a Big Brother housemate again after fulfilling Big Brothers challenge to decide which two internet interlopers were to be evicted.

So far this year it seems like Big Brother has been one long stream of evictions, new arrivals and re-entries. I hope it settles down a little soon as all this evicting is getting rather tedious.

Corey Worthington In The Big Brother House

Will Corey Worthington help with rankings of this year's Big Brother? I think he just might. Not so much on his own but with the help of "Nanna Terri", I think Channel 10 have hit on a combination that might well bring about some interesting watching.

I've never been a Big Brother fan in the past. But so far this year, I've been drawn in a couple of times and found it quite interesting to watch.

Of course, time will tell and it'll be interesting to see what other twists and turns are adding as the show goes on.

Gold Logie Winner Kate Ritchie

Kate Ritchie has once again taken out the Gold Logie for "Most Popular Personality on TV". No surprises there really. It's common for a long-term, popular character that leaves a show to result in a Gold Logie for the actor/actress playing them.

And of course, for Kate, the girl who grew up on Aussie TV, it's a wonderful way to finish what has been a long career on Home and Away.

I can't help but wonder if Home and Away will ever be the same without her.

The Biggest Loser Finale

Well, in true Biggest Loser style, the finale was a very drawn out affair. Lots of fluff and build up over NOTHING really.

The bonus about this for me was I was out and missed the first half and figured I'd missed finding out who the biggest loser was. But NO, they were just starting to weigh in when I got home.

I thought all 3 finalists looked GREAT and was slightly disappointed for Ali for missing out by such a small percentage amount.

But she definitely was a WINNER in my eyes. She looked FANTASTIC!!!! :)

Of course, so did SAM and he is so lovely that who could begrudge him the winning spot!!!

It was such a lovely and supportive finale amongst the final 3 which was really, really nice.

As for the HUGE SCALES. What the????

All through the night they were promoting a "world first" for that????

What a big build about NOTHING!!!!

True BIGGEST LOSER style I'm afraid.

I think they need to drop the theatrics or The Biggest Loser may well end up being the "Biggest Loser" in the ratings game.

The Biggest Loser - The Final Three

The final four have now become the final three!!!! Only a few days to go and we'll all know who is 2008's biggest loser.

Will it be the lovely Allison with her motherly attitude and determination to come "first instead of third for the first time in her life".

Will it be the ex-sportsperson Kirsten with her guts, determination and only 1% behind the leader?

Or will it be the gorgeous Sammy with his dimpled smile and innocent demeanour? The current "Biggest Loser".

All contestants have now left the house and are left to train and continue their journey.

In a few days time we'll all know who is 2008's Biggest Loser - where will you put your money?

My vote is going for Allie - not so much because I think she has the BEST chance but because I think she's lovely and I really WANT her to win.

All 3 contestants seem very deserving but she's has won my heart from the very beginning.

Stay tuned for the announcement of the winner for The Biggest Loser 2008.

Scott Baio

One of my all-time favourite shows as a teenager was Charles in Charge featuring Scott Baio.

Now why couldn't my parents hire a babysitter like that???? Isn't that the question that was on all teenage girls lips during the 80s????

Mmmmm......Scott Baio.

Bryce Chooses to Leave The Biggest Loser

The Biggest Loser is once again back down to the "final four" with Bryce choosing to take some $35,000 in cash offered to him in exchange for leaving the show.

All of the final 5 contestants were given this opportunity.

First Allison, who has chosen to take the opportunity for a guaranteed place in the final instead of taking a cash bonus offered.

Each of the other 4 contestants were then offered $1000 for each percentage of weight they have lost. Available only to the first contestant to ring the gong provided.

Bryce took this opportunity uncontested by the other contestants.

So it's Gary, Kirsten and Sam playing it out for the final 2 positions in The Biggest Loser final.

The Biggest Loser

I have to admit to being rather addicted to watching The Biggest Loser. I'm not 100% sure what the attraction is because I really DON'T agree with the way they promote rapid weight loss. I also DON'T think they do personal trainers any favours as they give the image that they're all "hard core" and will work you until you throw up. Whose going to put their hands up for that kind of torture.

However, I still watch it and tend to find it reasonably motivating in terms of exercise. In fact, I'll often watch it from the exercise bike.

This season has almost come to it's conclusion so I guess their won't be TOO many posts here about The Biggest Loser current season.
